Trust and security

Built so your attorney stays responsible, and in control.

OnCaze is software for law offices. It does not give legal advice and is not a law firm. It is built around the Florida Bar's guidance on generative AI, Ethics Opinion 24-1: tell people they are talking to AI, review its work and protect confidentiality.

Your attorney decides

  • Only attorneys and accredited representatives can open an office.
  • Every filing package needs the attorney's sign-off, and any later change asks again.
  • The attorney can read exactly what the companion tells clients on each topic.
  • Suggestions from AI are marked as suggestions until a person accepts them.

Honest with clients

  • The companion says it is an automated assistant and not a lawyer, at the start and on every screen.
  • It explains questions and forms; it never gives legal advice. Legal questions go to your staff.
  • It interviews adults only; a parent answers for children.
  • Clients confirm their answers before anything is filed.

Outside government accounts

  • OnCaze never signs in to, types into or submits anything in myUSCIS or ECAS.
  • It never asks for or keeps USCIS passwords or codes.
  • Clients sign their forms themselves, in ink, as USCIS requires.

Client data protected

  • Each office's data is kept apart from every other office's.
  • Case access: limit a case to the people working on it. Sensitive case types are restricted automatically.
  • Staff sign in with a second step from an authenticator app.
  • SSN, A-number, passport and receipt numbers are encrypted and masked; every full view is logged.
  • Every change is recorded in a log that cannot be edited.
  • Data is stored in the United States. AI services are used only under terms that do not allow training on your data.
  • Our support team sees an office's data only when the office grants time-limited, read-only access, and the office can see every page that was opened.
Questions offices ask

Common questions

Does OnCaze give legal advice to my clients?

No. The companion explains what a question means using explanations your attorney can read. Anything that needs a legal judgment goes to your staff as a callback.

Is my clients' data used to train AI?

No. AI services are used only under terms that do not allow training on your data.

Can OnCaze file for us in myUSCIS?

No. USCIS does not allow third-party software in its accounts. OnCaze prepares the files and a guide; your attorney uploads them.

Can we get all our data out?

Yes. Any case can be exported with its data, forms, documents and transcripts.
